He was patient, respectful, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire process seamless and pleasant. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out.
- LGLuke GreenDec 12, 20251.0I was contacted out of the blue by one of the advisors (David) to schedule an appointment to discuss my mortgage renewal. I came to my appointment and his first question was "what brings you in?" After reminding him why he scheduled this appointment, he proceeded to force additional TD services (line of credit, credit card limit increase) on me. When we finally got to the intended topic of the meeting, I was presented laughable mortgage rates, considerably higher than current market values. Even with David's and subsequently his manager's "best" offers, they were still sitting fairly high compared to other lenders. When I said I would have to shop around elsewhere, I was asked to let them know what I was offered and they would try to match it as they would like to keep my business. After speaking with a broker and others who have recently renewed, I shared my findings with David. He reported back to me that those rates are competitive and that they would not be able to match them. Do TD not want to be competitive as well? If you are renewing and looking for good rates, take your business elsewhere - you are not valued here!
