- JHJustin HardingJul 7, 20245.0We used Jovie for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. We had a few bridesmaids travelling across the country with young children (6mo-2yrs) as well as my flower girl nieces (1,3,6). Since folks were travelling, we knew they couldn't leave the kids and that finding sitters in a different state would be hard. We wanted to ensure all of our friends and family were able to enjoy our event while not having to leave early when the kids got tired, or miss out if they got fussy. Jovie was super responsive and we very quickly had two sitters lined up for the event. Our coordinator Stephanie was great and helped answer any questions we had and kept us well updated with everything. They were also super flexible with our setup - a different company was going to require us to rent padded floors, which would have been silly for our needs. Our venue had several rooms, so we were able to provide a nice separated spot, just on the other side of the entry away from the dinner/dancing area. We weren't 100% sure if everyone would take advantage of the sitters, but all the kids ended up in the sitter room at some point. We had it as drop in/out as the parent's needed, which worked great! We saw the sitters show up perfectly on time, while we were doing photos, and didn't need us to even come back to go and get them settled in the room. (The other folks not involved in pictures showed them to the room, and they took care of the rest) Since my sister was there to help, we had the nieces go say hi on their way in. As the parents or kids needed, the sitters kept them busy and entertained. As the kids hit their party limits, they went and took a nap, but the parents got to stay dancing. When the kids (as they do) got fussy from missing their parents, the parents were able to come attend as needed, but not feel burdened. The Jovie sitters went with the flow and it worked great. The greatest compliment I can give is that my niece made a card after the event, thanking the sitters! It was clear that they had a good time. Shoutout to our sitters Amelia and Maddie for earning themselves that thank you card.
