The metal ladder, which a man climbs up and down starting at 7 AM, creaks and rattles every second. It’s extremely disturbing and makes it impossible to sleep. Please do something about it!!

Dad moved in and after two weeks, he had settled in and Sunrise was his new home. The staff and team are so respectful and caring, Cindy and I don’t worry about him knowing that he is in good hands.

He often says Sunrise is his home and the residents and staff are his family. His joy is strong and consistent. He often says of Sunrise “it just gets better and better.” He loves the diversity of the staff and learning about where they’re from. He loves the food and the activities. The community surrounding Sunrise of Mercer Island is amazing and my dad loves the views and his walks on the surrounding trails and in the neighborhoods. I wanted for my dad a place that he would love, as well as a place his grandkids felt comfortable visiting. Sunrise is it! We love the coziness of the room, the home like feel of the community space and the wrap around porch with amazing views. Of course we all love Moose, the community dog, who instantly makes you feel at home when he greets you.

This place just felt right from the moment we made our first contact to inquire about moving mom there. We definitely made the right choice. The staff at Sunrise Mercer Island made the move so easy, even during the COVID pandemic, and our mom has actually said she's "having a ball!" Every time I talk with her on the phone she mentions how wonderful and nice the staff is, and my siblings and I can rest easy knowing our mom is in excellent hands getting the best of care. Would highly recommend this place to anyone facing the difficult decision of placing a loved one.
