The family cemetery of the first European settlers of the land upon which Joseph, Sr., and Lucy Mack Smith later lived and gave birth to Joseph Smith, Jr., the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ebenezer Dewey, the original grant owner, was buried here in 1794, along with members of the Coy, Waterman, Cole, and Church families.
