At The Goddard School located in Tysons, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
I brought my kid here right before he turned 2 years old. They have welcomed my son with open arms and I was a bit skeptical at first since we spoke our native language at home, so we knew there would be a bit of a language barrier at first for him. His then teacher (Ms Yashu) went out of her way to print out the phonetic spelling of Korean words and put it in her classroom to further communicate with my child. I thought that was so endearing and that they truly want everyone to be included. On top of that, they have done a great job potty training him so now he can go to the bathroom by himself as a 3 year old. Even his new teachers learned some Korean words to communicate with him as well.
I also really like how in the Goddard app they specify what he ate and didn't eat from the school lunches, or even the separate snacks I provide him every day. It gives me an idea of what his favorites are, and what he enjoys eating. The multiple photos a day they provide are always a great snapchat of his fun-filled day. They have somewhat of a curriculum, which is great for kids to get accustomed to at a young age. They have weekly activities such as PE, learning Chinese, learning Spanish, singing songs with an instructor, as well as plenty of outdoor time.
Laura (the owner) does a great job in running the show because there are so many events per month that really show you that they care and that it really is one big family. There are multiple Fall events, Halloween parade, Parent appreciation days, International night, back to school nights, etc. It almost feels as if there's one every other week!
After touring between maybe five other daycares, I'm very happy with our decision to come here. The progress my son has had in learning English, learning the alphabet and numbers, potty training, as well as becoming more nimble with his arms and legs. Thank you for everything Goddard of Tysons!

We are so happy with our experience and feel so fortunate to have found the Goddard School of Tysons and that they are in our corner!
After taking an extended maternity leave with my son, I was very nervous about sending him to daycare. I researched and never felt like anywhere was good enough. I’m a first time mom and I was scared of sending my son to daycare. My very first interaction with Ms. Lulu on the phone settled my nerves and once my husband and I toured we were sold. My son was 10 months when he started at daycare and he will be 14 months this month.
The level of communication throughout the day is so wonderful, I’m an anxious mom and seeing that he’s been checked in right away and getting attention the second he arrives settles my anxious heart. My son is safe and cared for. He loves going to daycare and I believe his teachers and all of the Goddard School admin love and adore my son.
His teachers are professional and they take excellent care of my son, they pay extra attention to things if I ask them to keep an eye out. Every single member of the Goddard School faculty and admin are lovely to interact with and are extremely professional. The entire program and school runs like a well oiled machine built on early childhood development principles and it is evident that they know what they are doing because they are doing it effectively.
My son has grown and blossomed so much since starting here. When we registered with them, they asked us what our goals were for our son in their program. My main concerns were just that he was going to be kept safe and felt loved and paid attention to. I can honestly say that we feel this 1000x over. I have recommended them to my friends and I would recommend them over and over to anyone who is looking for a place to care for their precious babies like they are their own.

We are so thankful to have found the Goddard School for our child. They helped ease our worried minds as we had to return back to work, and they created an atmosphere that made our child excited to attend every day. The teachers and staff were very caring, thoughtful, and communicative - we felt like we knew what was going on and could see how much fun our child was having. I’d give ten stars if I could.

In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them.
