- DLDonna L.Jan 23, 20255.0Our Mother moved into Brookdale Midlothian in November of 2024. The staff is so kind, caring and attentive. If our Mom needs anything at all, they are right there to help her. The facility is bright, very clean and so welcoming. The food is delicious! They have fun and interactive activities. Mom is happy there and has made good friends. We are so grateful for Brooke Willoughby and all of the staff at Brookdale for welcoming our Mother with open arms and making her feel at home at Brookdale. It is comforting to us knowing she is happy and so well taken care of.
- CBCole BucholtzMay 23, 20221.0Absolute horrible experience. They put my mom in memory care in Clarebridge wing and she was there for a year. Most of the staff was nice but it was the home office side that gives this a one star. After my moms year came up I was expecting a price increase and signed off on it. 2 weeks later I received a letter stating her care was now going up as well as she had more needs. It went from $3800 to $4353 (which I agreed to) and then up to $6700 2 weeks later. It made no sense. I found a new facility that said my mom didn’t need memory care just assisted living with a higher care level. Brookdale Midlothian doesn’t care about your loved one just the almighty dollar. I fought long and hard and still they are holding me to that ridiculous fee and I will be paying $300 a month for the next year and a half. At least they prorated the fee for only the 19 days my mom was there for that last month. Look at your contracts and how they price their care levels. It’s ala-cart so they nickel and dime for things that actually are never done. Get a lawyer to go through it. Everything they do is legal but so wrong. It’s the elder cares version of the movie the Rainmaker. Beware.

It was a great pleasure to interact with their Chef Melvin. He is such an awesome person who really take his job very seriously. All in all I will encourage families to consider Brookdale Midlothian as their first choice of senior living. Amazing home for seniors.
