  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Since Michelle arriving at Brookdale Harrisonburg, things have noticeably improved. Communication has been better, staff have been attentive and respectful, and the overall environment feels more organized and supportive than where I was previously. I feel more comfortable and better cared for here, and that has made a real difference in my day-to-day life. It’s reassuring to see continued improvements and a staff that seems genuinely invested in residents’ well-being. (Family member writing for a loved one)

  I called Brookdale Harrisonburg to explore assisted living options for my aunt. Even once it was clear their community wasn’t the right fit, Trey in sales still spent nearly 30 minutes educating me on how to navigate this unfamiliar process and sharing helpful contacts for my next steps. He knew he wasn’t gaining a sale, but he genuinely cared. I can’t speak to the facility itself, but if Trey is an example of the care their staff provides, families would be in good hands. A highly recommend that if you're searching for assisted living in the Harrisonburg VA area, make Trey your first call.

  We have performed multiple roofing repairs here over the years and they owe us several thousand dollars and refuse to pay or even acknowledge it. Every time we call we are passed from one person to the next and everyone blaming someone else. They might have great care for their residence, but it speaks to the integrity of the leadership when they don't see the importance of paying their bills.

  We moved mom into Brookdale Assisted Living at the beginning of the pandemic and her care has been excellent. The facility is homey and clean with central living rooms, dining rooms, a craft room and court yard for residents and staff. There are separate rooms for residents to call their own. The staff is professional and they have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of the residents during this trying time. They are in constant communication and have made sure that mom has a good quality of life and remains safe. In the time she has been there we have had to move her into memory care. The staff has made sure this transition has gone smoothly. We are able to visit almost daily through facetime/phone and also in person in a scheduled, monitored and safe environment. They have been nothing but patient with us as a family as we navigate mom's illness during a time that is becoming a "new normal." They are part of our family now and we will always be thankful for their kindness and compassion. They are the true caregiving angels in a time when our family can't physically be with our loved one on a daily basis.
