Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.
Customers consistently praised the temple for its beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, highlighting the sense of serenity and spirituality experienced during their visits.

After years of driving past and always saying we wanted to stop my family finally went to the Monticello Utah temple. We were blown away by their welcome and their attentiveness. I've never been to a temple where I felt like I was given as much personal attention as the Monticello Utah temple.
We were the only people who signed up for baptisms when we were there which was a really wonderful experience.
It may be a smaller temple but it's a really beautiful and elegant temple! My family really enjoyed our time there.
Thank you Monticello for being so loving!
