When I arrived at the facility to look for the front office an employee stormed up to me and started berating me about how I can’t be somewhere instead of trying to help me get to the right place. No senior living employee should ever have a temper like that.

While Brookdale First Colony meets the tangible property aspects of beauty, maintenance, safety, meals, and amenities, they really are well above expectations in the intangibles. Most importantly their staff genuinely cares for the happiness and well-being of their residents. That attitude is contagious among the residents who are very energetic, active, and involved in community events and social participation. Smiles prevail. Tomorrow someone may build a newer property, but they will be hard pressed to replicate the warmth and atmosphere of this wonderful community.
