- SWSarah WheelerOct 21, 20252.0All smiles and nice when you first move in, but after my FIL passed away they took 3k+ from his estate a month after we had cleared his apartment. They insist you set up auto pay for the monthly rent. We cannot get anyone to call us back not Deidra or Laura. It’s been two weeks and we need the money to pay the bills on his house. Update: got a check back from them BUT it’s made out to the estate of …. So bank won’t deposit it. And Brookdale is checking to see if they can write a new check; not sure why they can’t put the money back the same way they took it out. Why didn’t they close out his account? There is no excuse, it is THEFT.
