  I have been so pleased with Brookdale, Dowlen Oaks. My father lived there for three years and he was so well cared for. He loved the staff and they treated him like family. I do not live close by and they gave me the confidence to keep my father there, rather than move him close to me. The memory care staff are amazing! I regularly recommend Brookdale, Dowlen Oaks when people ask me about a place for their loved ones.

  Every visit is so pleasurable. The residents are always happy and the entire staff treats them so well. Their residents are family there. The atmosphere is very upbeat and positive. The food is terrific and the place is very well staffed & always clean.

  I have my mother in the memory unit and my father in the assisted living side. Both have been well taken care of the eight months we have been there. On the memory unit all the staff are friendly and helpful. My father visits her often being on the same campus. A plus in my book. She has been well looked after. Those that are able, go on outings off campus in addition to the activities they have during the day. She has maintained her weight so she must be eating well. She always seems happy when I visit. My father is on the assisted living side but really needs no real assistance. He says the food is great and plentiful. I have eaten there also and it really is pretty good. The new salad bar is a big hit. He knows all the staff by name and they respond back to him. He makes a point to be friendly. He walks and uses the exercise bike and plays bingo. His room fits his needs. Cable and internet are great. He enjoys the fellowship at mealtime. The facility has always been clean. The facility never has had a bad old person kind of smell. They clean the carpet regularly. The maintenance on the campus has been great. The two men that I see working are always making positive improvements to building. As the out of town daughter of two in Brookdale Dowlen Oaks I couldn't be happier. My parents are both happy and well fed and safe. Both parents have made the emergency trip to the hospital while there but it was managed well. I sleep well at night knowing that my parents are safe.
