At The Goddard School located in Nashville Yards, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
From the moment we walked in for our first tour, we knew The Goddard School was something special. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of genuine joy. The staff took their time showing us around, answering every question, and giving us a clear picture of what a day in the classroom looks like. We left the tour feeling confident, informed, and excited. A feeling that has only grown since enrolling.
The teachers are truly the heart of this school. You can immediately see how passionate they are about what they do. They greet each child by name, make them feel seen and valued, and create a nurturing environment that feels like a second home. The level of patience, kindness, and positivity they show every day is something we deeply appreciate.
The classrooms are bright, clean, and thoughtfully arranged to encourage learning through play, exploration, and creativity. The curriculum is impressive; it’s age-appropriate, engaging, and well-balanced between academics, social skills, and hands-on activities. We love that our child is not only learning letters and numbers, but also confidence, communication, and independence.
Communication with parents is excellent. We always feel informed and connected to our child’s day through updates, photos, and open communication. It’s clear that the school values partnership with families and truly cares about each child’s growth.
Choosing The Goddard School has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Our child is thriving, excited to go to school, and comes home happy and full of stories. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing staff, teachers, and leadership team who make this such a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and high-quality early education experience!

Incredibly rude experience at Goddard School Nashville recently. While the facility is new and shiny their personnel are lacking in social skills.
Also of note, there is zero sunlight anywhere on campus - but an "outdoor playground" bordered by train tracks, concrete walls and shadows may just be a matter of preference.
Daycare options in downtown Nashville may be scarce but I'll keep looking.

My son is almost two and comes home talking about school everyday. He loves his teachers and friends at school. He especially loves the trains nearby! I love the location and I especially appreciate knowing my son is safe, happy and learning nearby. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences from the staff and I look forward to seeing my son continue to thrive at Goddard.

Our daughter loves going there and I never worry about how she’s doing while she’s there because I know her teachers really care about her and when I pick her up she’s always having fun and usually doesn’t want to leave.

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
