- LLLoisAug 1, 20251.0Brookdale Memory Care Cary NC STAY AWAY!!! UNSANITARY AND GROSS!!! The caregivers are great. But the facility itself is filthy! Obvious old fecal stains, urine stains and unrecognizable stains. My sister's room had water damaged wood, mold, and the screen was torn out of the window. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet did not flush and had old urine in it. Disgusting fecal stains on the floor. Her room was not cleaned before she was moved in and the dry rotted window sill had obvious mold forming. When I brought the conditions up to the director I was reminded that I had seen the room before she moved in (I had not), and that there was a work order for the window sill. No mention about the obvious filth and mold. When I stated that I saw ants walking on the wall next to my sister's bed, I was told that the room had been sprayed 5 days ago. No accountability, no assurance, uncertainly no apology. All of the advertisements say it's a high-end facility. It is not! It is very unsanitary. Someone should go through there with a black light...eww 🤢 I have photos!!!
- PGPenelope GeorgeMay 27, 20253.0Upset that we continue to be charged for more than expected numerous times. This is the second time I am having to deal with over billing. The last time over $3000 was reconciled and now it is happening again. Over charged almost $700 last month and now $1000 this month with no information on why. They are back charging 3 plus months sometimes. There is a lawsuit because the staff they need and charge for are not there. This is also happening. They don’t have enough staff for what they are billing for. Please stop taking advantage of your residents. The billing department is separate from the facilities so when I go to talk to the facility they have no information for me. I even had to give them a copy of my bill because they don’t have access to it. Communication needs to be better. Stop taking advantage of your elderly residents.
