- GTGena T6 days ago5.0We have been so happy at the Goddard. The owners are warm, caring, and present. The teachers are loving and provide a wonderful environment where I feel our son gets the perfect blend of play and education. We were at a different daycare, initially, and it truly doesn’t hold a candle to the Goddard. I feel my son is safe, well cared for, and learning so much each day.

The directors are always onsite and very involved in the day-to-day, which gives us so much peace of mind knowing they are present and engaged. One of the highlights of our time here has been Ms. Samarah—she goes above and beyond to keep parents informed and communicates so well about our child’s progress. She also creates such a warm, positive environment where the kids are excited to learn and play every day. We are so grateful for the care, professionalism, and joy that this school provides!

Between the photographs throughout the day and the caring and positive spirits of the teachers, we were not surprised to hear how much we “love Ms. Samarah, Ms. Mallory, and Ms. Haley soooooooooooo much” during our daily end-of-school conversations. From day one I knew our little one was in a good hands. I have no concerns when it comes to kindergarten readiness next year. Truly not enough good things to say. They are life savers and angels here on earth. I couldn’t ask for more passionate teachers for the little ones. Thank you!

My daughter had the most wonderful time and experience with Ms. Samarah! Things that I couldn’t get done at home, she was able to do with our little one and ahe followed the rules at home a lot better, too. Simple things like “May I be excused?” Etc. can be challenging for new parents. Ms. Samarah is the best listener. You will never be surprised with anything because she will tell you everything on drop off and pick up. No anxiety for little one on drop offs at any time. The only reason we left Ms. Samarah and Goddard Brentwood was because we wanted to guarantee a spot at a specific school - kindergarten for next year. We were heartbroken to leave, but even for that Ms. Samarah was outstanding. She worked with me every step of the way so that it was a smooth transition for our little one. We are forever grateful to Ms. Samarah, directors, and owners. We look forward to seeing you next summer. There are no words to describe how amazing! Thank you, Ms. Samarah! We love you 🥰

Having had a tumultuous preschool journey in my son’s short lifetime (waitlists and crowded classrooms), we found Goddard on a recommendation from friends and were lucky enough they had room when we applied. After our last overpopulated and poorly run preschool in 12 South, we’ve found Goddard to be a fantastic school that values the kids and allows them to explore and learn with support and structure. Our son is thriving and loves going to school, is learning more than ever and has a bunch of new friends. I can’t recommend Goddard enough!

Yes, The Goddard School® is an early learning institution that focuses on the social, emotional, physical and academic development of children from infancy to pre-k. Our highly trained and motivated faculty develop experiential lesson plans for all age groups that reflect the skills, abilities and interests of the children in each classroom.

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
What types of qualifications do Goddard School teachers and caregivers have?
Our experienced Goddard School teachers meet all state and/or local regulations and have access to continuous training provided by their state and our own Goddard University. We train teachers on a regular basis in health and safety regulations, education standards and more.
Can any of the families in the School opt out of vaccinating their children?
In many states, children who are not vaccinated because of exemptions based on medical condition or sincerely held religious beliefs attend The Goddard Schools. If your child is not vaccinated, please contact the owner of The Goddard School to inquire as to whether exemptions may apply as not all exemptions are recognized in every state. To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
What supplies do I need to provide for my child?
Please provide any necessary personal care supplies for your little one, such as diapers, wipes, a change of clothing and naptime bedding. For infants, please supply a crib sheet. For toddlers and older children please bring a blanket and/or sleeping bag. Many of our locations also ask that you pack lunch for your child each day.
