Sanford House

In 2016, on the cusp of the 10-year anniversary of Denny Sanford’s historic $400 million gift to Sanford Health, the health system committed to building a permanent home to capture the spirit and history of its greatest benefactor and namesake. Supported by the private philanthropy of donors inspired by Mr. Sanford’s generosity, construction on the 18,000 square-foot Sanford House began immediately and continued through late 2017. In July 2018, Sanford Health celebrated the official grand opening. Today, visitors of all ages are invited to explore dynamic displays and exhibits that illustrate the far-reaching impact of Mr. Sanford’s extraordinary philanthropy, and hopefully open hearts and minds to the transformative power of giving.
