The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. Our child comes home every day with new stories, songs, and activities, which makes us so happy as parents. We’ve been enrolled since 2023 and continue through 2025, and during this time we’ve seen remarkable growth in our child’s confidence, social skills, and curiosity. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between fun and learning, and we are truly grateful to be part of the Goddard family.

The Director team—Andrena, Jamie, and Brooke—go above and beyond every single day. They are warm, professional, and always ready to help with anything. Their leadership sets such a positive tone for the whole school. The teaching staff is just as amazing. Every teacher I’ve met has been so pleasant, patient, and attentive. They make each child feel welcome and cared for while creating a safe, fun, and educational environment. You can really tell how much they enjoy working with kids, and it shows in the way the children are always smiling, learning, and happy to be there. I can’t recommend The Goddard School in Rock Hill enough. It’s such a relief as a parent to know my child is in such capable, kind, and loving hands.

In addition, I have had my two sons attend since they were 13 months, and they are now 3 Yrs old and in preschool. Through our time here, we have absolutely loved attending. Yes, there have been changes from the beginning of our journey here to now, but it’s all been for the better of our school. When sending my sons to school, I know that they are well-loved and taken care of even when I’m not there. My sons absolutely love all of their teachers as they’ve transitioned from class to class. Through their Wonder of Learning curriculum, my sons are challenged weekly with inquiry questions, helping them to learn and explore themselves and the world around them, as they lead the learning. In addition, all of their learning is being tracked, which allows me to see the growth and progress they’ve made since first starting. Not only does this school have a great educational program, but they also provide potty training assistance for families as they work alongside parents as children transition from diapers to underwear starting as early as 1 1/2 years old. Goddard not only provides a safe place for my sons to learn and grow, but they are also so attentive to make sure that all children are supported and are connected to the resources they may need. My two sons were delayed with walking and speech. Goddard helped to connect me with the wonderful Melissa, owner of Burning Bush Speech Service. She provided speech screenings, informing me that their speech was not quite where it needed to be. Instead of just leaving me to figure out what the next steps were, she helped me figure out what I needed to do and where I could find affordable services. I was then connected with Madison from Midlands Speech Therapy, where she’d come to the school weekly for therapy. As for walking and fine motor work, I was also connected with Michelle from Best Day Therapy. She was so kind and patient while helping my sons reach their goals. So, with all this being said, if you want a quality childcare program that is going to put your child first, look no further. Goddard is the place to be!

Yes, The Goddard School® is an early learning institution that focuses on the social, emotional, physical and academic development of children from infancy to pre-k. What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
What types of qualifications do Goddard School teachers and caregivers have?
Our experienced Goddard School teachers meet all state and/or local regulations and have access to continuous training provided by their state and our own Goddard University. We train teachers on a regular basis in health and safety regulations, education standards and more.
Can any of the families in the School opt out of vaccinating their children?
In many states, children who are not vaccinated because of exemptions based on medical condition or sincerely held religious beliefs attend The Goddard Schools. If your child is not vaccinated, please contact the owner of The Goddard School to inquire as to whether exemptions may apply as not all exemptions are recognized in every state. To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
What supplies do I need to provide for my child?
