  My mother has lived at Merrill Gardens for about 2 1/2 years. One of the aspects that makes Merrill Gardens unique is that they have one and two bedroom apartments where aging couples can stay together, ever if one of them needs more assistance. Many facilities cannot accommodate two people comfortably when one needs assisted living services. My mother and father moved into Merrill together when this was an issue. They were able to comfortably live in a two-bedroom apartment and get the individualized services they both needed. The most important thing to them was to stay together and we were able to make that happen, thanks to Merrill Gardens. My father has since passed away and my mother initially down-sized to one-bedroom apartment, and recently moved into a studio apartment at Merrill. The staff was extremely helpful in making these transitions happen easily. Some of the things my mother has liked best about Merrill are the modern, comfortable apartments, clean and well-cared for common areas and the friendly and attentive staff. People who work there seem to get to know who the residents are, and because the facility is not overly large, there is a nice sense of community. My mother has utilized the morning exercise classes, in-house beauty salon, and she likes to go to the afternoon travel movies and documentaries shown in the theater. The management and staff of Merrill try their best to work with residents and families to allow loved ones to age safely, actively and gracefully. I am grateful to everyone at Merrill Gardens who helps care for my mother, and many others, on a daily basis.

  I was able to visit this beautiful site and found the staff so kind and full of joy! They were so very helpful and will make my decision so much easier when that time comes to move! Thank you!

  WOW! Visiting family @ Merrill Gardens was an amazing experience. To see family members strolling along with each other and watching the faculty interact with the residents gave us all peace of mind. Thank you, Jennifer Brett for taking time out of your day to sit down and speak with us. Such little things, make these residents feel right at home, all the time.
