At The Goddard School located in West Chester, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
This is our second experience at a Goddard School and by far this is school is so much more organized and provides such a loving and kind experience for the kids. The staff turnover is low, which is a big change from the last school we were at and the teachers here are all very patient and really connect with the kids. It’s been a wonderful experience.

I have to say hands down this is a WONDERFUL place to send your children. My oldest who is now a freshman at Drexel University went here and I am back with my now 4 year old. The staff is truly exceptional and full of heart. I highly recommend this location for their professionalism, warmth, organization and incredible teachers who all work together to give the children and parents the best experience possible.

Our preschool-aged son attended here two days a week for several months, and we absolutely recommend it. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. (Special shoutout to Ms. T!) We truly felt welcomed here by everyone, and we saw our son make so much progress with speaking, following directions, and simply being a part of a group. We plan to send our daughter here as well!
One friendly suggestion is to establish a system for makeup days. Preschool tuition is costly, and having to miss a day due to illness happens to everyone. It felt so wasteful not being able to get the allotted days we paid for.
In short, Goddard of West Chester is wonderful! Thank you for all you do.

We have been sending our two sons to Goddard part time since they were each one year old. The staff has always been professional and accommodating of our schedule needs. Our kids love their teachers and are learning so much. The school brings in special activities regularly such as music, yoga, and soccer teachers. Each aged based classroom has been a great fit for our kids - providing appropriate schedule, environment, and curriculum as the children grow. The franchise changed hands in the past year and the new owner brings professionalism to the school. The two directors are friendly, informative, and responsive. We would highly recommend this facility for anyone with kids ranging from birth to kindergarten!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
