I do wonder if you have the correct facility, as we have looked thoroughly and cannot locate a couple that has left our community due to being dissatisfied within the last 5 years. It would be unusual for us to not recognize your name & staff has no recollection of you either. We have also looked up your name in hopes we could reach out and cannot locate you in our database. Our team here works very hard at providing great care to our residents & support to their families. Leaving bad reviews has an impact, so I ask if you could please reach out to our community in order to ease your mind/discuss what you feel occurred.

The upcharges started immediately and they lied (failed/refused to provide proof) of the services we were paying for that our parents said they were not receiving. Terrible experience. Moved mom and dad to another location where the staff was honest and caring, unlike Brookdale Grayson View. If I could give a negative star, I would. Just horrible.

- BHBryan HerberJul 11, 20221.0Was canceled for an August 11, 2022 performance by Norine Armish that was scheduled back on Jun 13 due to the overwhelming support & feedback from residents & staff going back several years at this point. Had excellent experiences with the previous activity director Tara Bassler, but under Norine Armish, was booked and then canceled. Incompetent and very disorganized. The funny thing is that she thought she scheduled me for July 11, but it was really August 11. She then said she was full for August. They had Covid in the building so July 11 wouldn't have worked, but I was really scheduled for August 11. Geez, I wish Tara Bassler were still in charge... Messing things up for both the residents & vendors/contractors doing good things for the residents... Update (August 2023) - new activity director Katy let me know she is using mostly free volunteers which lowers the quality of entertainment for the residents and that she needs to have anything she schedules approved by the ED. That is not good. Other Brookdales give the activity director freedom to book within a budget... ED should not be micromanaging the AD. Give them a budget and then allow them to work within that budget. Was hoping I'd eventually be able to take this review down...
