It’s really hard leaving your kiddo to be dropped off and cared for and partially raised by someone else. It takes a TON of trust. The Goddard of Mechanicsburg makes it easy. The level of care, support, education, and patience these teachers and this staff exhibit is exemplary. The kindness, and love they show towards our kiddo and ourselves is unmatched in the area. If you’re struggling with the idea of taking your kids to daycare and which one to choose, I’ll make it ridiculously easy for you, choose this one. The communication and updates throughout the day make me feel more involved in my child’s care and part of their day. Thank you, Goddard of Mechanicsburg!

We moved into the area, which caused the need to change schools. We sent our 2 kids there. One child struggled a lot. Never had issues before moving and after going to this place with said child. The environment was not warm at all in 1 room. I met with the teacher and owner and their expectations of 2 year old behavior was extremely off. They proceeded to tell me that my 2 year old was manipulative, which 2 year olds aren’t even capable of conscious manipulation at that age. During said meeting I felt like they were not willing to work to come to a solution. Many of my suggestions were met with “that’s not allowed, we don’t have staff for that etc.” Some of the teachers there were very experienced and others were not. They required 4 weeks notice of departure. I gave them 4 weeks notice and later that day I get an email telling me I have 2 weeks maximum to allow my child to stay or that day could be the last day. It was a very mentally draining experience and spent months undoing whatever it is happened during their less than 3 months there.

Went to do a walk through of this establishment m for potential child care for my 3 year old. I was extremely dissatisfied with the owner Nancy, as I over heard her being extremely disrespectful to one of her employees completely ignoring the employees need for assistance, Nancy rolled her eyes at the employee and walked away, needless to say I will not be enrolling my child at this facility.

In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills.
