If I could give no stars, I would. When I first heard about this school I was excited that such a great daycare was in the area. We recently moved here from South Carolina. Since visiting through the school not too long ago I noticed teachers on their phones. Specifically a room connected to a bigger empty room that I believe they called the ball room. They had smaller kiddos that I think are older than one year but still small. The kiddos were not actively being watched and I saw a little girl hitting and pulling hair and the teacher was too focused on her phone to intervene. On top of that a family friend who attends here has said they’ve lost multiple teachers over the last few months. They had a girl who looks like she can’t be much older than 15 in a room with older kids and I didn’t see her smile or seem happy when interacting with the kids. If you don’t like children why are you working with them? I’m very disappointed and thankfully have decided not to enroll my child here as well as have encouraged my friends to pull their children from their care. Very disappointing. Only positives were the cleanliness and the aesthetic of the building.
EDIT- I came to see if the staff replied and they did, I will be calling later this week when I have a moment. Upon speaking to my friend whose family attends her, it seems some of these reviews are from family members of people that work there and/or staff members themselves which seems very odd that the reviews aren’t all authentic, especially as it seems to come in right after mine. Which makes me wonder how truly reliable the reviews are.

We have had a great experience with Goddard West Chester! From the very beginning, the staff has been warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in my daughter's growth and well-being. Over the years, she has learned so much and continues to thrive both socially and academically, thanks to the nurturing and enriching environment they’ve created. Communication has always been open and respectful. Anytime I’ve had a question or concern, it was addressed thoughtfully and promptly, and I always felt heard.
One of the things I appreciate most is how supportive and caring the staff has been. You can tell they care about the children AND the families — you really feel like part of a community here. Beyond day-to-day care, they go above and beyond with special events throughout the year: Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations, Trunk or Treat, the Sweetheart Dance, etc. These moments have created lasting memories for my entire family.
It means so much to know my daughter has spent these formative years in a place where she’s safe, supported, and celebrated. I’m deeply grateful for the love and effort Goddard West Chester puts into everything they do!

My children feel well loved, known, and respected by their teachers. They still go into their old rooms and visit teachers they had years ago. Yes... their old teachers are STILL there! My son is 10 years old and he still has his infant teacher there! That's unheard of in child care centers. I love the individualized lesson plans that the teachers create for each class. I also love that the classes are smaller than most. They follow lower ratios than State requires in every room. I have no reservations in referring The Goddard School to anyone looking for a quality program for their child.
