Our families experience with this agency was extremely concerning. They preach that it is all about the kids until it comes down to the pressure of needing help. From day one our family was very specific about expressing our case plan. We had two placements that did not even come close to what was stated. Anytime we would ask questions or reach out for support, our family was given minimal information and most times told they didn't know and we were passed around from person to person. We placed our 30 day notice due to the lack of information given to us and for the simple fact that the agency placed a treatment level child in our home and we are not treatment certified, which means, we do not have the ability or education to care for the child's needs. We fulfilled the 30 day notice, spoiling the children the entire time and educating the children, meeting all appointment needs, and provided more than many children every get. After putting in our notice, I was visited by Necco and the County, mostly to place judgement on our family for asking questions and making assumes. Then after a few short minutes to find out that each party had the answers to all the questions I had ask previously, it was just that there was no one willing to communicate and share the truth, but remember it's all about the kids. Sadly- Necco blames my family for being to good, as we were honest and upfront about everything. There is not a single bit of support from the agency or the county. After joining a foster moms group, we quickly discovered we were not the only family this has happened to through Necco. It is sad how corrupt and twisted this system is. No wonder why there are so many children in harms way. Not to mention that when we met with the kids lawyer and at Children's Hospital for the kids appointments, that both parties stated our experience we were having with the agency was common word in their experience and recommended at that time that we don't give up and move to a better agency, in which each party suggested. I share all this, as I would hate for any new families coming in to experience the disaster and false information that comes from the agency. There needs to be a over-haul in training, communication, leadership and requirements for the agency.

Wonderful company! The staff understand what it takes to support you in your mission to help kids. They have consistently gone the extra mile to help me and my family. We have had foster children from NECCO for ten years and highly recommend them to anyone. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about NECCO or foster care in general.
