At The Goddard School located in Macedonia, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
My son has been attending The Goddard School since he was just a year and a half old, and he’s now four and in the oldest class. As both a parent and a school administrator, I have nothing but positive things to say about this school. I truly believe that his independence, confidence, and early success are due in large part to his enrollment in this program.
From the beginning, we’ve never referred to it as “daycare” as it has always been school to us, because that’s exactly what it is. The teachers provide a structured, nurturing, and educational environment that feels intentional and meaningful every day. My son has developed a level of empathy and kindness that comes from being surrounded by caring teachers and interacting with other children of different demographics and ability levels.
Academically, he has flourished. At four years old, he is already reading and has known his letters and sounds for quite some time. His preschool class truly operates like a kindergarten classroom, and I know he will be more than prepared for that next step.
The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and updated. The playgrounds are beautiful, and I love that they use turf—it’s easier on clothes, shoes, and knees! The teachers are top-quality professionals, and I say that with confidence as someone who works in education. A special shout-out to Miss Kennedy, who taught my son for a while—her love, care, and dedication made such a lasting impact on him. His current teacher, Miss Serena, goes the extra mile to hold my son accountable academically while showing love and care. I am amazed that he has homework every night and that she is constantly implementing fun, educational activities in the classroom.
One of the best things is how excited my son is to go to school every single day. That joy speaks volumes. I also appreciate that the school follows a thoughtful curriculum and limits screen time, focusing instead on hands-on learning and social development.
I genuinely don’t have anything negative to say. The Goddard School has provided an incredible foundation for my son’s academic and emotional growth, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

My son loves going to school every day! He hates to leave when it is time to go home! He has learned so much in the 3+ years he has been attending Goddard! The school is very welcoming and the staff is friendly and caring. Yes, childcare is expensive but Goddard is completely worth it! He has learned amazing social and academic skills that have prepared him for Kindergarten!

The staff really cares about the kids and their families, and this culture starts with the owner. The communication with parents is impressive, as is the environment for learning right when you walk in the doors. You know your kids' lives are going to be enriched through the approach at this school. It gives parents great peace of mind knowing that their kids will be learning so much in such a safe environment. Thank you Macedonia Goddard!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
