At The Goddard School located in Independence, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
My son has been going here for a month now, and the experience has been wonderful. I can already see how much he enjoys being there — he truly likes his teachers and often doesn’t want to leave when I come to pick him up! The staff are all very pleasant, welcoming, and professional, and they create such a positive and nurturing environment for the children. I feel confident knowing he is in a safe, engaging place where he can learn and grow. We are very happy to be part of this community.

Caring and delightful school that our son enjoyed from 14 months old to 3 years old. All the teachers are warm and embrace kids of all abilities with patience and excitement. The schedule was also extremely flexible, allowing us to pick full-time, part-time, and full day or partial day options. They worked with us to find a model that met our needs. Thanks to everyone at Goddard for making our son feel so loved!

TAKES THOUSANDS AND DO NOT PROVIDE REFUND. Takes loads of money as registration and advance fee (over $1300 depending on age group) and then do not refund even for genuine reasons like moving out of USA and giving a notice of more than a month's time.
This particular branch gives the impression that they are always full and have children on waiting lists, but when the time comes to refund, suddenly they don't have any children coming in. Hard to believe.
Paula seemed to be a nice and considerate person but this whole scene changed my opinion about her.
Also, the Goddard HQ doesn't seem to care about what harm such decisions made by franchisees could cause to their brand. The HQ doesn't interfere in such matters. Then why do you call yourself headquarters and customer relationship representatives?
This is the only business I have seen that would not refund in situations of moving out even after providing all the documentation needed.
If you are unsure, do not put your money down. There are places (like Scribes and Scribblers) that will book a spot with just $50 down, and have way more space than these guys.

As a former Headstart Administrator, I was picky when choosing a school for my children. I understand the right way that a school should be run. This particular location has exceeded all my expectations. The management team is great with communication and I have never had issues in the entire time that I sent all three of my children there. Its nice to have your children in trusted care.

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.

Please provide any necessary personal care supplies for your little one, such as diapers, wipes, a change of clothing and naptime bedding. For infants, please supply a crib sheet.
