At The Goddard School located in Delaware, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
They never manage ratios of kids to teachers. High teacher turnover and really bad vibes.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with this Goddard school. The management team is excellent — very accommodating and always open to feedback or special requests. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and provides a safe, welcoming environment for children. The staff members are warm, caring, and truly attentive to each child’s needs. It’s clear they put genuine effort into creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere. We feel very confident and happy having our child here. It’s a great addition to our community.

After a negative experience at another daycare, we were hesitant to send our child back to daycare at all. I am so glad that we gave Goddard a chance. We have nothing but good things to say about Goddard and I’m so glad that we found a place where we feel comfortable sending our child to learn and grow for the first very important years of his life.

My son’s kindergarten is absolutely wonderful! The teachers and staff are very understanding, helpful, and friendly. They truly care about the children and make every day a positive learning experience. The management team is also fantastic—very organized, approachable, and easy to deal with. Communication is always clear, and they go above and beyond to support families. I’m so happy with the environment they’ve created and highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a warm and caring place for their child!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
