He has been responsive, very thoughtful, and incredibly helpful as we explored options in the neighborhood, and his support has continued well beyond enrollment. We are familiar with Goddard Schools in general so were super excited to find out one was opening up a few blocks away from us. You can tell the owner is very into education and teaching, he has a doctorate in educational leadership, and sent his own kids to Goddard Schools as well. And he answers the phone, and is quick to respond to texts and emails!
- JKjohn keatingOct 10, 20255.0The Goddard School is a top flight facility and is leaps and bounds better than we could have ever imagined. There's really no good, high-quality options for childcare in the upper east side; we reached out to Primrose and Vivvi to try and get pricing and schedule tours and just trying to get through to a human is near impossible. Vivvi had an 18-month waitlist and wouldn't even offer us a tour (nor share prices) and Primrose didn't respond to multiple emails and phone calls/voice mails so we just gave up on them. There are some smaller budget places and some of our friends have nannies but we wanted the socialization and the open-to-close program and activities that only a real childcare center can provide. Having said that, what a breath of fresh air after reaching out to this Goddard School! The owner himself actually picks up the phone and gave me his cell phone number to call/text with any follow up questions (and responded to texts too!). Honestly, just being able to get through to someone alone was a win, but then once we learned about the substantive curriculum, the health and safety, and even that the owner was an educator/administrator for his entire career, we feel right at home here.
