I had Brad from Great Lakes take care of some asbestos pipe insulation in the attic of a home I purchased with a rehab mortgage. Brad was patient and professional as we worked through the bank's requirements. When the work was finally done, it was ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. The roofers, who were also paid with the rehab mortgage, had caused additional debris to fall in the attic prior to the abatement project. This complicated the job, but Brad still completed it masterfully at no extra charge. I would absolutely recommend Great Lakes Abatement to anyone in need of such services.

We bought a house with asbestos-wrapped steam heat pipes and decided to have them removed. Brad and his team (along with AMD Environmental providing air monitoring services) provided us with all the information and updates we could want, and were able to remove the insulation safely, quickly and cleanly. Would highly recommend to anyone needing asbestos removal.

I can't say enough good things about Great Lakes Abatement Co. We had a leak in the upstairs bathroom and had to remove some drywall that had asbestos in it. Brad from Great Lakes liaised with the insurance company, the asbestos testers and the humidity abatement company to make sure our asbestos was removed and tested quickly, navigating a national holiday to boot. After the job, Brad gave me a protective suit and mask for another job I had to do myself in the house. When they left after the job, my house was immaculately clean. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience out of something that could have been a major headache!

I found the perfect house to purchase but insulation found on the hot water pipes that heat the house came into question. This insulation is commonly found in older homes and usually contains asbestos which testing confirmed in my case. After extensive research, and high pressure from my mortgage provider, I decided to move forward with abatement. I met Brad and his team and they were not only thorough but professional and quick! Each day, Brad would personally call and give me status updates regarding the abatement process. Never did I ever have a worry about surface contamination or air quality issues as he helped me understand asbestos and how it's contained, removed and disposed of. He handled everything and all I had to do was find a company that provides air monitoring during the abatement process, which wasn't a problem. Overall, if you need remediation at a great price, do not hesitate to give Great Lakes Abatement a call, you will not regret it!
