- RRReynolds Amy /ReeseFeb 5, 20211.0We had a very negative experience as a family with Brookdale. Our grandmother had numerous personal belongings taken from her apartment/room. When family members brought concerns to the on site managers attention we were all told that was impossible, there was no attempt to even look into the matter we were basically called liars. The items disappeared slowly , a leather handbag, then a hand made quilt from the closet. We were told she had a locking cupboard for “valuables” and she should use that. But most items were taken from her closet. Over time over a dozen high end Leather handbags. She told us she often woke at night and would see staff in Her closet during her night checks, they have no reason to be looking in her closet in the middle of the night.
