If you’re reading this, I’m sure it’s because you’ve just lost someone—and for that, I want to offer you my deepest and most sincere condolences.
I recently lost my mother. It is, without a doubt, the hardest pain I have ever endured. In the midst of unimaginable grief, Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home brought clarity, compassion, and comfort. They made everything make sense, even when nothing did.
From the very beginning, there was no rushing, no pressure, and never even a hint of treating this process as transactional. My mother’s arrangements were complex—she passed in ICU in Pennsylvania, was transported to New Jersey to be cared for by Las Rosas, and then laid to rest in Rosemount Cemetery. Las Rosas handled everything—coordinating every step with an extraordinary level of professionalism and grace.
Esteban, in particular, was nothing short of remarkable. I have never witnessed such humility, compassion, and dedication. He didn’t treat me like a client. He treated me better than family. He always referred to my mother simply as “Mom.” Whether it was “We’ll receive Mom tomorrow,” or “We’ll care for Mom until her resting day,” the reverence he showed brought me peace. He treated her as if she still had life in her—and in my heart, she always will.
Las Rosas even had a professional makeup artist on deck, who lovingly took care of Mom—doing her hair, makeup, and even painting her nails. It may seem like a small detail, but it meant the world. Mom would have been beyond proud.
The venue itself was pristine. Elegant, clean, and with just the right amount of seating—plus room for more. Every staff member, from the directors to the maintenance team, reflected a culture of kindness and excellence that clearly comes from the top down. I sent in funeral favors, photos, and a video tribute—all of which were beautifully incorporated into their state-of-the-art display system. It was seamless. Perfect.
Las Rosas didn’t just help me plan a funeral—they helped me honor my mother. They coordinated with affiliates in Pennsylvania, communicated with Rosemount Cemetery, and even included the link to our GoFundMe in her obituary so that friends and family could support her legacy.
On the day of the service, Esteban was there early, greeted me outside my car, and personally helped me carry in decorations. That gesture alone says everything about how deeply this team cares.
This entire experience, though painful, was made bearable—palatable—because of Las Rosas. The cost was more than reasonable and full of value. I would have paid double for the peace they gave me.
Thank you, Esteban. Thank you, Las Rosas. It’s a shame I can’t give you more than five stars—because you deserve ten.
