At The Goddard School located in Raleigh (5401 North), we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
I love this school including the staff, the program, and the sense of community. Even during times of transition such as when my child moves to a new class, gets a new teacher, or even if I’m traveling and she is with the nanny, I have complete confidence that she is supported and cared for. They have been flexible when necessary which is also extremely comforting. It is evident that every teacher and administrator takes the time to truly know my child and ensures their well-being. The school fosters a genuine sense of family and community, which gives me great comfort; everyone understands that my child is my most precious priority. Finally, I feel like any concerns have always been heard and respected.

Great place for a child to learn while they are young. Also fosters a great social environment for kids to make friends and learn how to play with other kids. Mrs. Sue is very friendly and kind and always fun to talk to. My child has always loved his best teachers like Ms. Jennifer, Kearse, and Myasia.

As a parent, choosing the right daycare is one of the most important decisions you can make. After months of searching, we enrolled our child at The Goddard School, and it has exceeded our expectations in nearly every way.
Final Verdict:
The Goddard School offers more than just childcare—it’s a nurturing environment where children can grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We’ve seen incredible progress and are grateful every day for the care and education our child receives.

I would ever recommend this place to anyone! My child is on daycare system since 3 months old, however, we’re looking for a best setting for him, a place that could provide more in terms of structure (facility) and provide him a great experience and we thought this school would be the place. I couldn’t be more wrong!
My child is a 2.5 years old that is speech delayed, has anxiety/strange afraid, so we told daycare that he would probably be challenging during the transition due those factors.
I decided to pick him up earlier during the week 1 (he was around 3-4h/day at the facility) to help him to transitioned and feel comfortable, that we (parents) are not leave him behind with strangers and not backing. I didn’t heard much from teacher day 1, nor day 2. Couple tough times, but ending “good” as she said. Well, on the third day of school , my husband was called (not me, the one that went everyday drop/pick my kid off) to come to the school picking him up without any explanation on the phone. When he arrived at the classroom, the teacher pointed to our child, that was laying on the floor, no shoes or socks (he took them on stress) crying alone, while the teacher was talking care of other children. He helped our child with the shoes and hugged him. My husband was asked right away to talk with the director. On her office, she said that our child ran away of the teacher after a fire drill and protested to get back to the class, throwing himself on the floor, crying and screaming. She said that our child was not a fit for the school due his behavior and that he had to leave immediately. They asked my husband to pack our child stuff and leave - my husband had no idea of everything I dropped in school by their demand, and obviously, didn’t take everything with him. They were rushing him. If you think that nothing could not be worse to see your child be treated as nothing by the staff and kicking him off as a problem, not a child, what terrifying surprised I had when I check my child when he got home with scratch’s on his arm, hand and face, apparently from friction/ impact against. I asked my husband what do they told about those scratchs and where it was the incident report, because my child had none of them when we dropped him off.
He said that didn’t heard anything about injuries from them, neither incident report. So I contacted the administrator/director from the school app message and email with pics, and she call me hours later (not write anything), and had the audacity to tell me that he didn’t get any injury there. She said he felt on the classroom, but as it was in the carpet so he should not be injured and DENIED to provide any reports. I didn’t accuse anyone to hurt him, but he got injured there and it was a fact, for falling or whatever, he got injured there and told to her. She said that my husband inspected our child on her office, when it didn’t happen at all. My husband was invited to be on her office only to hear what she had to say about our child behavior and the need of leave asap. She never mentioned injuries so he wouldn’t check for them. My husband had to much to deal in a small time situation, traumatized by seen the scene of our kid being ignored, left alone crying and right kicked off this place. His only thought was to embrace our child and take him from there as soon as possible, to give him love, as the staff doesn’t really care about him/ experience. My child was treated so poorly that I’m convinced that who runs that place has no empathy, experience nor real care for children.
I’m so regretful to have trusted my child’s care to this place/staff. I thought that my child would be on good hands, it proved the opposite . There is no professionalism, mainly from the administration, with not accountability for anything that could happen to your child on their care. My child is speech delayed, he can’t voice what happened to him over there and makes me cry. Don’t fall for the facility looks, the staff is the most important for your child wellbeing. There’s no respect at all to the child and parents.
