I got my son enrolled in the 3-5 year age group class hoping that he would enjoy his running sessions with his peers and coaches
But this turned out to be the most disappointing and upsetting session. He had missed one class prior to this session as he wasn’t well so we were hoping his coaches would show him some warmth on his first day.
But the coaches showed no interest in my son’s first-day jitters! As a parent of a child who takes time to adjust (he enjoys gym and soccer lessons elsewhere), I expected more understanding. No effort was made to engage my son or help him feel comfortable. I had to approach the coaches to remind them it was his very ‘first’ class. The lack of empathy was unbelievable for my almost 4-year-old boy!
I had referred my friend to this club and her daughter was on the wait list, but I am happy that I mentioned this incident to her.
Will not recommend this club to anyone.
I do want to thank coach Sheila listening to me patiently and also apologizing to me and giving me a refund but being a parent my disappointment/ anger would not let me want to continue the remaining sessions.

Our 6 year old has always struggled with perseverance, self-confidence, and being quickly frustrated. We tried everything as parents to empower her with no success…until THIS!
As excited as she was to “run for fun,” she went to the first practice and repeatedly gave up. Through the weeks, we encouraged her, Coach Sheila empowered her, and she started pushing herself during running club.
In life, we started noticing her perseverance in everything (learning to read, meeting new friends, tree hugger courses, etc.). She started repeating the mantra “strong, brave, mighty, fierce,” breathing during difficult situations, and reminding herself, “I can do this!”
8 weeks later, she completed her final race of 1/2 mile on her own, taking short walking breaks to catch her breath and continuing. She was the first one done with her 1/2 mile, only to grab my husband and I and continue to run a full mile!! The kid that started in Flying Feet is not the same kid that finished. We’ve already signed her up for the next session and she can’t wait!
