Not only do they care for their residents, but they also care for their staff. This promotes a culture of mutual respect and the outcome is happy staff which equals satisfied residents!
- ACangela cashMar 22, 20161.0My mother lived there for 4 years and loved the place, it became her family. Until, that is, her finances started getting messed up. We were told that she was behind on her bills by thousands and she had lost benefits (ss and medicaid) and she had 30 days to vacate. When her acct was fine the month before. After speaking with her workers at both ss and dss it was discovered that her benefits had not been stopped and when they were delayed on reviews it was due to brookdale not submitting their paperwork. I am still looking into all of this as i feel my mother was treated unfairly and possibly swindled financially. I feel at the very least brookdale was in the wrong for not letting someone know that she was starting to get behind AND for not providing her documentation to keep her benefits going (which started the issue). We were told alot of different stories which made it very confusing and it almost seemed as though they didnt want to try to work with us. I tried everything in my power to work it out. Im concerned for residents who dont have someone to look after their finances or well being as they just treated her like she was irrelevant.
