*By Appointment Only Monday through Saturday*
No matter your story, we welcome you to join us as we all try to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, a little more helpful—because that’s what Jesus taught. We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ and welcome all to worship here. We fellowship together as well as offer youth and children’s programs.
Jesus Christ can make you a better person. You can make us a better community. Come worship with us. Church services are held every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.
I am trying to get a job back in the area and transfer my records to the ward here. I have only been able to visit twice (once I had to go back to the car because I ended up getting very sick, and the other time everyone was so kind and welcoming as a church community is called to be).
Bishop Schmutz is so kind and helpful, and I'm sure as I get to know more of our brothers and sisters everyone else is too. I have felt so welcome the two times I've been able to make it up to Raleigh-Durham, I'm sure once it's a long-term move to be back in the area for a few years before heading back to Los Angeles eventually, there is a lot of love and welcoming folks here!
My service dog loved all of you he met as well, and I appreciate that his job was respected. That's been tricky in our church - people in previous wards either want to pet him and love on him when he is working, or they make unwelcome comments and expressions of disgust that there is an animal at church. We didn't get that either time we visited our hopefully soon new ward, and I really appreciate that. It's so nice to be able to bring my service animal to a ward where I am not judged or feel like I'm some sort of side freak show. Nothing but love and kindness here, and I truly cannot wait to be a more permanent part of that for a few years.
Most important thing I can say in this review - you really can feel the spirit here too. It's all about Jesus/Heavenly Father, and I love feeling his presence and guiding hand working in the ward.
