At The Goddard School located in Oakville, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
The Goddard School has been a second home to my family for the past 25 years. I’ve watched hundreds of children come through our doors—including my own boys—and I can say with complete honesty that this school is something special.
I’ve seen firsthand how our teachers pour their hearts into creating a warm, nurturing, learning-rich environment. It’s never been “just childcare” for us. It’s a place where children feel safe to explore, grow, try, stumble, try again, make friends, discover confidence, and learn far more than ABCs and 123s.
As a parent, I experienced the same reassurance and peace of mind that so many of our families talk about. My boys were known, loved, challenged, celebrated, and supported every step of the way. They still talk about their teachers, their friends, and the memories they made here.
As an educator, I’m incredibly proud of the high standards we hold ourselves to—the research-backed curriculum, the developmental approach (following ages and stages, not just birthdays), the communication with families, and the genuine partnership we build with parents.
The Goddard School has shaped my children, shaped my career, and shaped my heart. If you’re looking for a place that feels like family but teaches like a school, this is it.
Even after 25 years, I still believe in what we do every single day.

We are new to Goddard this year, but it has been amazing so far! My son was very nervous in the beginning, but his teachers were very warm and nurturing which made this transition for us much easier. He is learning a lot in a short time, and I am confident in their curriculum for his upcoming years!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
