  You couldn’t ask for a better senior living experience than McKenna crossings, from the housing coordinator to the kitchen staff we felt that my mom was very loved and cared for. My mom moved into McKenna at the start of covid until she went home to Jesus in April. While in assisted living my mom enjoyed all of the entertainment that McKenna had to offer. She really loved Marlyns toucan bike rides, and the baby farm animals made my mom feel like she was back on the farm. They have holiday dinner options which were wonderful as it got harder to take mom out. Weekly bingo and church was a plus. As mom moved on to memory care we were nervous but Carol, Kelly & Sara made the transition easy. They reassured us that this was the right move and they were right. There is a beautiful garden area in memory care we sat out there often with mom. We were worried that there wouldn’t be enough to entertain mom but we were wrong again the staff steps up every day and mom was always busy. Andrea from the front desk is a life saver everybody in life needs a Andrea she took mom to help deliver mail she was our first call if we had questions and always found the answers. While in memory care Alice the NA became like family and she cared for mom like she was her mom. EVERY staff member at McKenna was wonderful and like family. I could not have given my mom that same level of care at home. When my mom passed in her sleep the staff cried with me just as if they list there own family because at McKenna we are all family. They had a wonderful bed side service for my mom before she was picked up and a very touching honor walk that I will always remember.

  Nine years ago I began the process of moving my parents from Arizona to Minnesota in order to be closer to family. My search for housing and care for them near me was of the utmost importance. I toured McKenna Crossing as well as another facility. My first impressions were that McKenna felt like home and was exactly where I wanted my Mom and Dad to live out their remaining years. They received amazing care at McKenna provided by very compassionate and loving caregivers. The entire McKenna staff always made us feel they cared and that we were important. Both my Mom and Dad have since passed on. I speak for my family when I say we were truly blessed and very grateful for being a part of the McKenna family. Sincerely, Deb O'Donnell

  'The Decision!'__To decide that it was time that I could no longer care for Bob was not easily made. This was going to be his 'home' away from 'home!' Each and every department played an integral part of the wonderful and loving care he received. The credits go to administration__nursing__front desk__culinary__spiritual directors__activities__caregivers__housekeeping__engineering. Our family could lay our heads down at night in peace knowing Bob was cared about. Our heavenly Fathers' presence is at McKenna Crossing. Our family will be forever thankful to you all!!   My Dad has lived at McKenna for 9 years and it's a great place! It's a beautiful facility, they have many activities and the staff is always great!
