We couldn’t be happier with the care my mom has received at Arbor Lakes Senior Living. From day one, the entire team has shown incredible compassion, professionalism, and kindness. It’s clear that the staff truly care about the residents and treat them with respect and dignity. The activities program is absolutely phenomenal—thanks to the outstanding Activities Director (Janni), there is always something engaging and meaningful happening. The events are creative, well-organized, and truly go above and beyond in helping residents stay active and connected. The facility itself is spotless and very well-maintained, which gives families great peace of mind. The nursing staff (Sandi)are attentive, patient, and always available when needed. The Director (Becky) is also a huge asset—responsive, kind, and clearly invested in the well-being of every resident. Communication has been excellent, and it’s reassuring to know there’s leadership in place that genuinely listens and acts quickly when concerns arise. This community has been a blessing for our family, and we’re so grateful for the care and joy they bring to my mom’s life.

Our person lived in Assisted Living Memory care here for almost 4 years. We were happy in the beginning, however it was during Covid and we weren't allowed in the building for months. Once we got inside the building, we became less and less happy. Why? * Communication is terrible! Between Administration and family, between care givers and administration (particularily nursing). Director acted apathetic towards our concerns. We could never trust that care staff would receive direction when our person's needs changed/they were supposed to do something differently (including med changes). "The right hand did not know what the left hand was doing" most of the time! * When we expressed concern about anything, we received lip service and 99% of the time, our concerns fell on deaf ears. (i.e. we asked them to make sure our person received enough water. When we visited, our person would be very dehydrated and groggy. After we pushed water during our visit, our person's lips filled out and he perked up dramatically) Most of the time, staff had an excuse for not doing something and maybe once or twice apologized for their errors. Instead, they defended themselves at every turn. * We often found our person's room to be dirty/unclean. These pictures show the inside of our person's refrigerator and under their sink in the kitchen. Our person wasn't physically capable of putting the food under the sink. Clearly staff had put it there! We had to purchase a vacuum cleaner so that Hospice staff could vacuum his room when needed. One time, there was feces on our person's carpet--left by another resident who snuck into our person's room! WE had to ask that maintenance be called to do carpet cleaning. Our person's windows were never able to be seen through even we asked for them to be cleaned. There were times when dirty dishes were left in the sink. Our person's clothes were just shoved in his dresser drawers and not folded so his clothes were always wrinkled. Over the 4 years, there were a few caregivers who were very good and we trusted them. However, all of them quit and we were so disappointed. In the end, there were a couple caregivers who we appreciated. Likewise, whenever I was contacted and told that our person needed something, I was very responsive and made sure I got it for them. Thank God Hospice was brought in! They filled in where the staff we paid for didn't get the job done. They were compassionate, communicated well and sent a beautiful sympathy card after our person passed. In contrast, we didn't hear from Arbor Lakes staff--either in person or via written communication--after our person passed. That's hurtful! It got to the point that we put a camera in our person's room so we could watch what was happening. There were a several occasions when we had to call our person's care giver to alert them that our person was about to fall out of bed or needed immediate assistance. We could see that many things in our person's Care Plan weren't happening throughout the 4 years they were there--including checking on our person regularly day and night. It seemed that they were consistently short-staffed and staff doesn't work as a team. There were times when our person had to wait 30 - 45 minutes for a caregiver to come to his room after pushing his call button--because his main caregiver was busy. Bottom line...If you love your person, DON'T put them here!

This facility is a beautiful, well kept, and clean facility! The staff are all very kind and caring; we couldn't ask for a better place for our family member to call home while unable to live on their own! We would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who has to find alternative living for their family members! We feel comfortable leaving our family member in their care, they do an amazing job!
