  In May of 2020, we were able to get my mom, who needed a more supportive living environment, into assisted living care at Timber Hills in Inver Grove Heights. It was one of the best moves that our family has ever made. There are so many regularly scheduled activities that she is able to participate in – bingo, movies, concerts, and many other special events – that it keeps you schedule filled throughout the week. They also have a well-equipped, senior-designed exercise / workout room that Mom takes advantage of daily. They have on-site hair salon that Mom takes advantage of regularly. She looks forward to sharing three good meals each day with friends who are also residents at TH. We are also thankful for the spiritual focus of Timber Hills. Mom can participate every Sunday in on-site worship (she likes the minister because he is always “enthusiastic”) in addition to weekly “Heart-to-Heart” prayer group meetings and special Bible studies throughout the week. The care team there is exceptional – they truly do care. Our family gives “thanks” daily for the entire team as Timber Hills.

  Our mother lived at Timber Hills from the time the facility was opened. First in the townhomes, then in an apartment and finally in assisted living. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire experience. The staff are caring and kind, the facilities are clean and very nice. Really would be hard pressed to think of a complaint!

  The staff at Timber Hills has been wonderful. My mom needed special preperation for her surgery. The staff were phenomenal in how they provided assistance, which included giving my mom 2 showers. I thought my mom would object to getting this help. After the first shower, she was thrilled. She said they did a good job and were gental After the 2nd one, she said I should give this to my friends. She has dimensia and I believe she thought she was at a spa. For this prep, I was able to stay overnight with my mom. One of the staff, without hesitation, offered the use of their air mattress, which worked perfectly. The day of surgery came and the hospital nurse called Timber Hills and spoke with the memory care nurse. After hanging up, she said she was impressed. The hospital nurse has dealt with many memory care places, but Timber Hills knew exactly what was going on, my mom's medicines, etc. This is something I knew, but it was nice to hear it from a professiinal.

  My mom lived in independent care for years. We loved this place. Moved her to assisted living and the staff is hit or miss and this no longer seems like the same wonderful place. Some aids are in need of training and a dose of compassion. Think the director of nursing needs to get away from her desk and spend some evenings and nights learning what the residents go through when no over sight is onsite after hours
