At The Goddard School located in Baltimore (Canton), we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
We have been at Goddard since last January after transferring from a Celebree daycare in the same neighborhood. I could not be happier with our choice. The difference between the two centers was night and day and we finally felt safe and comfortable with the care our son was receiving. The staff truly feels like family. Ms Jallyn in particular has made our experience above and beyond what we could have expected. She is so loving and nurturing to our son, who has a hard time with drop offs and separation anxiety. She seems genuinely excited to share updates with us and makes an effort to get to know us as a family. We were lucky enough to have her as a teacher in two separate classes. Ms Cheyenne is also wonderful and knows just what to say when we are having a tough drop off. The school is lucky to have both of these teachers. We are leaving the school this month, but only due to a move and we are truly sad to leave.

I had a really great experience enrolling my child with the Goddard School. We were looking for a specific time frame to accommodate our child who is autistic, and they had days and time slots that worked perfectly!
I love the learning environment and the general feeling of warmth, when I walk into the building. Our child is doing better with potty training and relaxing with toys at home, since enrolling at the Goddard School. We love the updates we get from staff and fun daily pictures and lesson plans.

This is not a place to bring your kids into. They only care about the money . Don’t bring your children here

The Goddard school in Canton has been such an amazing experience for our 3 year old son!! He has grown out of his shyness and interacts with other children a lot more. He comes home singing songs and tells me everyday that he had fun. He is speaking more often and we have watched him excel in his learning. His teacher has been so loving and made him feel comfortable from day one. The owners Jim and Mary and all of the staff are friendly. The school is beautiful and always clean. I love that his teacher sends me pictures of what he is doing and details on what they learned each day. We love this school and everything about it!!

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
