Stone Rehabilitation & Senior Living is a private non-profit residential care and skilled nursing facility located on a safe and quiet hilltop in a Newton Upper Falls residential neighborhood.
We offer a unique combination of a classic rest home (The Pettee House) and a modern skilled nursing facility (The Skilled Nursing Center). Many residents have benefited from the ability to move back and forth between these two levels of care while remaining in familiar hands.
The Pettee House is a beautiful historic home with 22 rooms for affordable supported residential living. Each resident has a personally furnished private room. Three meals a day are served in our spacious dining room. Residents often gather in our nicely appointed living rooms to read, chat or attend daily activities. Our staff is available 24 hours a day to provide resident assistance.

- RLRobyn LogueOct 23, 20251.0HORRIBLE experience. My mom was there for rehab and wound care. She received very little rehab and the wounds were untreated and left exposed. She was sent to the hospital with an infection and pneumonia. Sadly she passed away a week later. We tried to pick up her belongings and was told she didn't have anything. REALLY? No clothes, shoes, cell phone? We were ignored until someone finally took the initiative to locate her belongings which eventually they did. Our mom deserved much more respect and compassion than she received at Stone.
- RRRinaSep 16, 20251.0The worst place I’ve ever encountered for a post-op rehab. It’s mostly a nursing home with very ill patients and in my short post-op stay witnessed several deaths, etc., given they don’t separate those there for rehab from the nursing part of the institution so Again, if you’re going for post-op rehab but healthy otherwise - plssss go elsewhere. I did, indeed, had to once again go to a rehab facility following surgery and the 2nd rehab place was absolutely WONDERFUL. !!! Total difference

Her experience at Stone was wonderful, with a staff that showed real concern for her well being and a very human touch. Medical oversight was dedicated and very comprehensive, and staff were engaging and patient. No one looks forward to a stay in rehab, but Stone is highly recommended!
