Its sad to see a loved one suffering from dementia but at least she's in very caring and understanding hands here. Thank you all!

- BTBeth TaflerJul 25, 20255.0My family member has been at Katzman for about 10 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. All staff is warm, loving and professional, and provide excellent care. My family member has never had to wait for physical assistance or a compassionate ear. This includes all staff. Maintenance workers rush to look at a television or phone issue. The cooks ask about alternatives/addiitions they may provide to regular meal menus. Special events are well planned with many musical programs including ice cream socials. Religious services include Catholic masses as well as Jewish celebrations. All are welcomed and included. I have had friends in other skilled facilities and not seen this high level of care and devotion.
- KKKateAug 19, 20231.0This place is awful, I hope it was investigated. My elderly aunt was here two years ago and they wrote her off as dying and told us she would pass away soon. My whole family was so upset, we all went there to say our goodbyes. Because they claimed that she was dying, they shut her insurance off. They had her HEAVILY medicated and in a stifling hot room where she had trouble breathing. They just left her in bed all day, never did any PT with her. On top of that, there was a terrible lack of communication…. One person would tell us one thing, another person would say the opposite. It was so frustrating dealing with them on top of trying to make sure our loved one was okay. There were times when we had confirmed appointments to visit her and they would have us waiting over an hour only to eventually say we couldn’t that day because that ward had a Covid case….. how about call and let us know beforehand or at least inform all staff so they could let visitors know? NO COMMUNICATION. We knew something was very wrong and transferred her to somewhere 100% better. The new place couldn’t believe how they treated her and the medications she was on. This new place also mentioned that THEY had trouble communicating with this place and getting straight answers as we did. Our aunt is not only still alive but she’s doing amazing now and being well cared for….No thanks to this place who wrote her off as dead and caused so much stress to our family.
