- JSJanet StandiferSep 22, 20255.0While touring numerous care facilities, one morning I stopped by Brookdale Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care, I immediately felt this was a good place to care for my loved one. Over several years, I have observed Brookdale staff interact with residents; they display such kindness and patience toward all residents that it makes me feel comfortable knowing my brother is being cared for in the same manner. I also appreciate the prompt personal contact when a situation arises and weekly newsletter keeping all loved ones informed. Recently they have started a Memory Care Support Group. It is important to keep our loved ones engaged. A daily agenda lists various types of activities. Most afternoons residents enjoy a light snack followed by music in the game room. Familiar songs are played with lyrics displayed on screen. You would be surprised to hear most everyone singing and swaying along. It is a pleasure to sing with them.
