At The Goddard School located in Greenwood, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
We have had an incredible experience with Goddard School Greenwood. My children have been part of the school for years, with one child having gone all the way through, another nearing graduation, and our youngest just about to begin their journey. They absolutely love it here!
The education and care they receive are truly top-notch. What stands out most, however, is the amazing staff. Every teacher is kind, attentive, and dedicated, and the office staff is always a pleasure to work with. The facility itself is always clean and well maintained. I've been so impressed that I've recommended them to three different family members, and they've all enrolled their children and are just as happy. We are so thankful for the Goddard School Greenwood team and all they've done for our family.

We were very concerned when we first enrolled our grandson who had some emotional development delays. The staff was great and very accommodating when we shared tools we used to help with his meltdowns. Soon after he started we noticed a big change. He was now able to play with other kids without the issues he had before. Now with the help of his teachers at Goddard and Sugar Grove he has overcome a lot of issues we saw a year ago. He’s now ready for kindergarten and we are so glad we chose Goddard!

"I love their commitment to quality education/programming. They also clearly care for the children that are in their care every day. My son has done extremely well in his educational goals post Goddard and feel that the beginnings and foundations that were developed at Goddard played a key role in his success. My children enjoy coming to the Goddard which for a working family provides us with the comfort and security that are children are safe while not in our care."

What is a typical day at The Goddard School like?
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
