  “I can’t pull sitters out of thin air” - Julie Snider We had a very disappointing and stressful experience with this service. Despite having a sitter confirmed a week in advance, the day before we learned that our sitter was also being used as a backup for another family. When that family’s nanny went into labor, our childcare was canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Rather than honoring their original commitment, the service attempted to piece together partial coverage so that my husband and I—both physicians—could try to get to work. We don’t have family nearby, so this last-minute change left us in an incredibly difficult position. When I raised these concerns, the response I received from Julie was, “I can’t pull sitters out of thin air.” While true, the issue was not about creating new sitters—it was about honoring the agreement that had already been made. A “confirmed” sitter should not also be serving as someone else’s backup. This experience has left us questioning the reliability and accountability of this service. Families who depend on consistent, dependable childcare should be aware of these risks before committing.

  I worked with Jovie to plan and implement childcare for a Conference visiting the Indy area. The children all have special needs. Jovie was by far the best childcare service I have ever worked with! Prior to the event, I received a photo and brief bio for all the staff that would be working with our children, which was so wonderful! On day one, all of the staff were easily identifiable in colorful Jovie shirts. They were on time, courteous, respectful, and attentive to our special children. Jovie's management team (Julie) and Lead Sitter (Katie) were exceptional. They were responsive, organized, and went above and beyond to meet the needs of 68 special needs children in their care over the course of 3 days. We hold events throughout the country and I was humbled by the care and attention Jovie staff showed to our parents and children. We will continue to seek out and utilize Jovie Childcare in future states where we hold conferences. Thank you Jovie!

  My go-to for rescue childcare!! My wife described Jovie to me as "Uber for childcare" and I completely agree with the convenience and helpfulness! It's super easy and quick to book childcare without the hassle of finding a sitter on your own and when short notice needs arrive. The sitters are all extremely dedicated to the children they care for, and are very well trained for all types of care needs and situations. Jovie caretakers and sitters also bring the extra attentiveness of good communication with parents prior to and during scheduled days, and rarely are ever on their phones unless they need to be, which is very refreshing these days! The Jovie scheduling team is especially friendly and kind too! Thank you very much Jovie for all your service and support, and I look forward to being a client of theirs until our children are old enough to finally (maybe?!) take care of themselves :)

  I found Jovie when they were still College Sitters. To say this company is amazing and a life saver is an understatement. My wife and I do not have the luxury of family members to watch our kids. Because of Jovie, we are able to have consistent, exceptional, professional child care almost on demand. The employees are always great. The care is perfect. We are able to go on dates now. Go to concert. Have dinner. We couldn’t recommend Jovie any more. Please utilize them if you need a sitter.

  I have used this business run by Julie for about 3.5 years. Julie is the owner and manager of the child care side of the business. Julie always found us a nanny that ended up a good fit for our family. She always ensures that we are covered and does a lot of hard work in the background to keep things running. Currently in Indiana there is no better option than Jovie run by Julie. I highly recommend this business as they provide proper care with minimal headaches on the parents.
