Our daughter started attending Goddard at 5.5 months old. She's been there for about 2 months now, and we've had a positive experience. I knew from the start that I wanted a facility with proper security and a structured (no screen time for infants) curriculum. Our daughter seems to be learning from the staff and the other babies around her. She even reaches for Ms. Sydney and Ms Cassandra when we arrive. It's comforting knowing she's built a trusting relationship with her teachers and other staff. It's not easy as a first time mom to leave your little one, but I feel comfortable with her going to Goddard. With our time here we have had trunk or treat and our daughter has participated in "spirit week" with fun outfit themes, PJ Fridays, and they have been doing things for the parents this week before Thanksgiving. The staff is very personable and they seem to care about their families. The teachers seem to pay attention and have informed us of mood/behavioral changes, and even skin changes in our little one. They also offer a military discount which is nice.

Goddard School not only provides a caring environment for my son, but it offers an enriching curriculum, even at such a young age. He is always excited to go and I appreciate how everyone, not just his teachers, know who he is and greet him by name. He’s learned so much the past few months he has gone to Goddard.

We love the Goddard school! It’s never easy dropping off your baby for the first time but the staff and administration make you feel so welcomed and at ease. They go above and beyond for all of the students enrolled. All of the teachers know my children by name, even the ones we have not had in class yet! You receive thorough updates on your child’s day through the app and the photos are an added bonus. They treat your children like their own. Thankfully we have many more years attending the Goddard School!

Our daughter started at Goddard around the age of one. She’s now almost three. I cannot say enough great things about this daycare. The administrators are truly exceptional—professional, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond to create a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment. They communicate clearly, respond promptly to any questions, and genuinely care about the children and their families. I also want to briefly address some of the negative comments I’ve seen. I understand how easy it is to assume that a certain tuition level should meet every individual preference or expectation. However, the reality is that staffing changes are common in most daycares—especially in Springfield. In my experience with this center, I can recall only one teacher who resigned, while a couple of others were let go—something I view as the administrators upholding high standards, not instability. Daycares are extremely costly to operate, which is one reason many have had to close their doors in recent years. While it’s natural to hope that tuition can cover every ideal feature, the most important factors will always be the quality of care, the safety of the environment, and the strength of the leadership. This daycare consistently excels in all of those areas. As a working parent, I also know how challenging it can be to navigate childcare decisions. When you don’t have family nearby, the options often come down to daycare, staying at home, or a nanny—and we’ve tried all three. Each has its benefits and its limitations, and there’s truly no perfect solution. What matters is finding a place where your child is safe, supported, and well cared for, and this center has been exactly that for our family which is why our son will be starting in January.

Parents, please do your research before sending your children here. For the amount of money paid to go here, I’m disappointed in the things I hear from former teachers and parents who formerly attended Goddard. Firstly, they’re not teaching Spanish. All that is a lie. The teacher assigned never gets to teach because they’re always short staffed because staff is always under paid despite the large tuition offered. Secondly, the food is cheap. The kids don’t like the food served and the quantity served is hilarious. I found my child sneaking snacks into backpack due to hunger. First thing after pick up from school is usually a heavy meal due to pure starvation. For the amount paid, my child should never be that hungry. There should be snacks readily available for the children but former teachers have reported that it is heavily and unfairly rationed. Thirdly because of the high turnover rate, children have to adjust to a different teacher every two weeks. Everytime, during drop off, a different face. Why? Speaking to former staff makes me question where the $1400 is going to when there are at least 10-20 children per class. think about the impact on your child. If your child is constantly bombarded with new faces everyday that comes with new rules that comes with an overwhelming need to learn and unlearn structure. Of course they’re going to have issues adjusting. Instead, they make it seem like it is the child’s fault and “we’re doing everything we can” sure! Fourthly, I was dismayed to find out that a teacher accused of sending inappropriate texts to a minor in a previous school was hired. I’m sure it is because of the high turnover rate. Again do your research because a school this prestigious and expensive shouldn’t be having these issues. Don’t be deceived by the pleasantries you hear during pick ups and drop offs
