- NWNathan WertheimerMar 16, 20245.0I can’t speak on necco from a foster parent perspective, but in 2020 I was a foster teen through them. They placed me with the only long term foster home where I’ve felt unconditional love & support. Even the short time I was with the placement gave me the stability I needed to succeed as an adult, and I wouldn’t change anything that happened to me because I never would have met them if it wasn’t for the environment necco placed me in. I lack a lot of hope in the foster care system, especially for LGBT, disabled, and POC teenagers in the system. I was moved from multiple foster placements for being transgender & not wishing to live as female in a group home. Necco is how the foster system should be, and I’ve never been more grateful to have been in foster care. The support they provide to the foster family’s and children is what I’d like to see more of from other agency’s.

If you’re ready to become a foster parent they will walk you through everything and make sure you have everything to help that kid grow and mature properly. I can’t say enough about how kind and generous the staff is with the kids and how that place is run. 5 stars from me!!
