I Testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is true, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet and he restored the Gospel and the Book of Mormon!

I’ve been a member in Starke my entire life. We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I invite you to come and worship with us and feel the spirit through scripture, talks, music and the sacrament. May we seek heavenly answers by attending this church or one near your area.

I love everything about this church! It is a safe place with welcoming and wonderful people who come to learn about God the Father, His plan for our eternal happiness and well-being. Through the Atoning sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ, all may be saved! The still, small voice of the Holy Ghost guides, comforts, inspires, warns, and leads us to truth. It is a lay-ministry, which means that no one is paid to serve or teach - members are given "callings" to serve in different functions, and do so with the oversight of the Bishopric (A Bishop is like a Pastor, and he serves with his 2 counselors). Sunday meetings are composed of one hour for the entire congregation (men, women, and children), in which the main focus is the Sacrament of the Lord. It is prepared and blessed, then passed to each member so that each may renew their baptismal covenants. (Members make covenants to God to keep His commandments and care for others through baptism by immersion by those who have been given authority by God to do so, and receive the great gift of constant companionship of the Holy Ghost as they remain faithful.) Next are uplifting and edifying words by different members of the congregation who have been asked to speak by the Bishopric and do so through careful preparation, prayer and inspiration. Singing and prayer are interspersed throughout this hour. The second hour alternates each week: one week is Sunday School classes (one for adults 18+, and one for young men and women turning 12-17), on the alternate week men go to their meetings, while the women go to theirs. Youth separate into Young Men and Young Women meetings. Children ages 1 1/2-turning 3 years go to the Nursery every week where they have a short gospel lesson, songs, games, and play time. Children ages 3-11 go to Primary every week, where they learn music and Gospel principles and then separate into older and younger classes. Teachers (or discussion leaders) are also "untrained" professionally, but are given church resources for guidance, and learn through personal revelation from the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) through prayer and the study of the Gospel in the scriptures and the words of the living prophet. The testimonies every teacher has gained through their personal efforts at worship are shared with their class members. Just like anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it. I have learned and grown so much through membership in the restored Church of Jesus Christ! He LIVES, and this is His church! Come and see. You'll be glad you did.
