At The Goddard School located in Sarasota, we're more than just a daycare. The Goddard School is a private preschool, offering childcare to infants and toddlers to pre-k. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment.
My husband and I love our experience with The Goddard School! We were very anxious about finding a daycare for our then 13 month-old son when we first started touring daycares, and The Goddard School was the clear winner when it comes to safety, transparent parent/caretaker communication, age-appropriate enrichment activities in a positive, nurturing environment, and the cleanest facilities out of all the options we had.
We get daily reports via a very user-friendly app on all the activities the caretakers have very thoughtfully planned out, with themes like "family," "what makes a community," "learning to share," and so many other relevant and pragmatic daily life applications for our baby. I especially love that administration is extremely involved with the curriculum and creating fun newsletters and family activities throughout the month so that parents are involved with the entire school's community.
Drop-off and pick-up are as easy as can be, with plenty of parking in the monitored parking lot and an electronic sign-in/sign-out process for extra security.
They also offer meal options with local catering partners, and small snacks are provided throughout the day. We opt to bring our own lunches.
The best part - the teachers! We've seen our baby boy become such a kind, curious, and happy toddler, and we owe it all to teachers like Ms. Lu, Ms. Genesis, Ms. Laura, Ms. Codi, and Ms. Lauren!
We truly feel like The Goddard School is an extension of our family, and I would trust no one else to be secondary parents to my baby while I work during the week.

I couldn’t be happier with The Goddard School of Sarasota! From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed the entire facility is. An indoor gym for when it’s too hot or raining outside - what a great move. It’s clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
The teachers and directors are warm, professional, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth and well-being. My son still runs to give a hug to his first teacher he ever had when he sees her in the hallway. The curriculum is both engaging and developmentally appropriate, blending structured learning with plenty of play and creativity. My children look forward to going every day and come home excited to share what they’ve learned.
If you’re looking for a place where your child will be loved, encouraged, and challenged in all the right ways, I highly recommend Goddard of Sarasota. It truly sets the standard for early childhood education!

In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books and sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Teachers support children as they investigate the world around them. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a typical routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
