- SDShannon DodgeJan 10, 20185.0My Dad moved into Brookdale Cypress Lake a little over a year ago after my mom passed away. He is in the assisted living program there and requires little assistance. After a few snafus getting him settled with meds etc, our experience has been a positive one. The staff truly seems to care and they all know him by name. He has made some friends and we are trying to get him more involved, but overall, he's happy. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is happy and positive. I would like to see communication improve a bit, but other than that, we have had a good experience.
- TSTony StobbNov 30, 20161.0Horrible living conditions for seniors. Care is deplorable for assisted living residents. We had to hire an outside cleaning company for my parent's apartment because when the staff was done cleaning, your feet would get stuck to the kitchen floor. Laundry (an "included" service, was brought back to the apartment in plastic bags, sometimes still wet, and dumped into the closets. They've left my mother sitting on the toilet for 45 minutes (found this out from an outside PT company) and 2 nights ago, she called me asking if I could call the front desk as she had been sliding out of her recliner and pressing her call button for the past 45 minutes with no response and was now almost on the floor. The list goes on and on :-(
- LHlorraine hernaezSep 1, 20165.0I have an elderly neighbor whom is now a resident there. She has changed into a person I barely know! She has gone from an isolated, sad person into a very happy, social person and is very involved with the other residents. The facilities are clean and the staff is very loving and seem to enjoy what they do. After seeing her, I left in tears of happiness just knowing that she is in great hands, making friends and eating so well. She absolutely adores the food there and anxiously awaits for mealtime! That just astonishes me as she went into assisted living due to her serious loss of weight and weakness from not eating. Kudos to the staff at Brookdale! And, most importantly, she is allowed to have her beloved kitty there with her!
