I normally try to stay away from ALF centers because they make me sad, but this was not the case. As soon as we walked in, I could hear laughter from some of the residents sitting in a little sitting area. They were all of good health and having a genuinely good time with one of the workers. Another worker was walking around nonstop asking the residents if they needed anything and making jokes and having a good time. If a person has to be away from his or her family, it's nice for them to have such a loving and light-hearted atmosphere with their second-family.
