  My father's ability to live on his own quickly declined over the past few months with frequent trips to the hospital due to him being a fall risk. While he was in rehab, I was referred to Brookdale by a case manager due to the fact that they have a skilled nursing license. Once it was determined that dad can no longer live on his own, Tracy at Brookdale was able to move quickly to get him a room. Traditionally, my father was a very independent person so I was a little concerned about the transition to a ALF, but the staff at Brookdale has been very friendly, accommodating and understanding to his needs while going through this transition to assisted living. I sleep better now, knowing that he is in good hands at Brookdale.

  Depending on the level of care needed for your family member, if person is able to walk or use a walker to get around - Brookdale is adequate. If in a wheelchair this would not be a suitable facility. The aids do not respond in a timely manor to assist wheelchair bound residents.

  My mom has been there more then 3 years and absolutely hates this place. She says the food sucks and there is never enough help. Always understaffed. They pick her up late for meals and it takes 3 days for a package to get from the front desk to her room. They very rarely come to dust and vacuum her room. Her laundry is constantly being lost or misplaced. She rings her buzzer for help and it takes an hour or better for someone to come and help her. I was down there in June and had to clean her carpet on my hands and knees because it was so filthy dirty. They kept promising her that it would be cleaned but that never happened.

  I could not have done this without Danielle leasing coordinator. She was so kind caring and instrumental with the moving in of furniture knowing exactly what would fit and what would look good,and making sure the apartment was clean. Moving is always stressful but your help was amazing and so appreciated .
